Reporting to the Assistant Chief Probation Officer of the Juvenile Probation Department, the Director manages the operations of Log Cabin Ranch, the twenty-four hour residential treatment and rehabilitation program located 50 miles south of San Francisco, for male juveniles who have been adjudicated as delinquent by the San Francisco Juvenile Courts. Log Cabin Ranch is currently implementing nationally recognized best practice for juvenile detention and camp facilities. This is a hands-on management position overseeing the day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker, change agent and creative problem solver able to contribute to the range of evidence-based juvenile, preventative and restorative justice models incorporated by the Department. A Master’s degree and a minimum of three years of management, planning or supervision experience in a residential facility for youth involved in the juvenile justice system is required, or a Bachelor’s degree and five years of management, planning or supervision experience in a residential facility for youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
The annual salary range for this position is up to $108,888 with comprehensive benefit package including PERS 2.7% @ 55. Ideally, the selected candidate will be California POST certified within one (1) year of employment.
