Renowned for its natural beauty and outstanding quality of life, the Orange County Vector Control District is seeking a dynamic and accomplished District Administrator to live and work in one of the most vibrant and attractive counties in the state of California. This executive position reports to the thirty-five member Board of Trustees and oversees a capable staff of 54 full-time positions. The ideal candidate will have excellent municipal leadership, interpersonal, and decision making skills, with experience and interest in vector control issues. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, public administration, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have at least seven (7) years of responsible experience as an administrator in the public sector; including three (3) years of managerial or administrative experience within a complex organization with a reporting relationship to an elected body or board. The salary range for this at-will position is up to $146,000 per year with an excellent benefits package including a $500 per month car allowance. Placement in this salary range will depend on qualifications and experience.
